Sundays at WHCMA

Do you have questions about who God is and how He can change your life? Do you need a family to help you in the rough times and celebrate with you in the good times? Are you looking for a place to worship and serve God with fellow believers? We invite you to Whipple Heights Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on 12th Street in Canton, Ohio this Sunday!

You’ll find teachers who are well studied in the Bible and tuned to God’s leading in their lives with encouraging and challenging messages. You’ll find people who care about each other and support one another. And you’ll find committed followers of Jesus Christ worshiping together, growing together, and serving together.

What To Expect

The worship service at Whipple Heights is contemporary – and flexibility is the name of the game. A typical service opens with several upbeat songs led by our worship team, a few announcements, and a chance to meet a few new people and greet old friends. Pastor Taylor’s message is often interactive – sometimes requiring audience volunteers or verbal responses. Somewhere in there we’ll take up an offering – but this is only for people who call Whipple Heights their church home. If you are visiting, just enjoy the music and the teaching. We’ll pray over the service, the message, and specific needs in our congregation, community, and world. Any given week, there may be someone sharing about something good God has done in their life or some way we can come together to help people in our community or around the world. We have communion once a month, open to all believers to participate.

One thing is certain – while the worship service may vary a bit from week to week, God and his message always remain the same.

The People of Whipple Heights

Any given Sunday will find 200 people, give or take, worshiping together at Whipple. From new babies in the nursery, to grandparents who grew up in the church, you’ll find all ages coming together on a Sunday morning. We have a large contingent of college students from Malone University, and lots of families with young children through teenagers. Come dressed up or in jeans – either way you’ll fit right in. While you’re here be on the lookout for the church leadership team including our pastors Taylor Williams and Garth Crundwell.

The Music of Whipple Heights

Our worship team leads us in a blend of traditional and contemporary music to glorify God. You’ll hear a lot of Chris Tomlin and Hillsong music along with some recognizable hymns and praise choruses.

The Message of Whipple Heights

In 2010, Whipple Heights is focused on embracing God’s grace so that we can extend that grace to others. We believe that God is the one true God, that Jesus his Son was crucified as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead to give us eternal life. Furthermore, when we accept this gift our souls are saved for all eternity and we are given the Holy Spirit to guide us in our walk with God. Everything we teach at Whipple Heights comes back to this basic Gospel.

Sunday School

Sunday school classes for children, youth, and adults run from 9:30-10:30 am before the worship service. Bonus: we’ll have coffee and donuts!
