Coronavirus 2020

UPDATED: June 3, 2020

Dear Church Family,

As our government leaders continue to relax restrictions and allow business and restaurants to reopen, our leadership team has decided to end our voluntary participation in the suspension of in-person gatherings as of June 14, 2020.

Starting June 14, the building will open each Sunday at 10:30AM and we'll celebrate with a single worship service at 10:45AM. We will continue to record the sermon and distribute it electronically for those who are not ready to return to in-person gatherings yet. We're going to hold off on restarting Sunday School for now. Please understand that things will be different for a while. Some of the biggest differences are going to be seen in our efforts to adopt recommended safety measures. You can learn more about these measures at whcma.org/reopen.

A final word, brothers and sisters: I exhort us all to fight the temptation to judge another person based on the mask they wear or the mask they don't wear; whether they will accept your hug or not; whether they stick around after the service or leave right away. Every one of us needs to decide what level of risk we're comfortable we're with and what exposure we want to have. As brothers and sisters in Christ, our job is to compassionately love and care for each other during this confusing and change time. When ever you choose to return, and however you decide to observe the recommended safety measures, I can't wait to see you soon and to worship the Lord together!

Now, more than ever, you are loved!

Pastor Scott Praxl
