Church Family,

We have been praying for wisdom and direction during these hard times.  Please see below for the direction we believe our good Father is leading us.

PLAN FOR RESTARTING PHYSICAL GATHERINGS
Stage 1: Groups of 10 Permitted

This stage will begin when physical gatherings of up to 10 people are allowed. (May 1, 2020.)

Sunday Mornings

  • All physical gatherings remain suspended.
     
  • The sermon continues to be recorded and distributed each week.
     
  • The bulletin remains in a weekly email format.

Small Groups

  • Adult and youth groups of 10 people or fewer may choose to gather in person or continue meeting via Zoom.
     
  • Adult and youth groups of 10 or fewer that choose to gather in person may choose to meet at homes or at the church. To gather at the church, please coordinate in advance with the office at office@whcma.org.
     
  • Kids Ministry remains suspended (except for J-Walkers, depending on availability of volunteers)

Notes

  • Groups and leaders are encouraged to observe Safe Interaction Protocols (see below).
     
  • Groups and leaders should remain prepared to return to no physical gatherings if necessary.

PLAN FOR RESTARTING PHYSICAL GATHERINGS
Stage 2: Buildings at 50% Capacity

This stage will begin under the allowance for using buildings at 50% of capacity. (June 14, 2020)

Sunday Mornings

  • Sunday School remains suspended.

  • Resume one Worship Service at 10:45 AM.

    • Childcare (nursery & toddler’s room) and Kid’s Church provided during service, pending availability of adult volunteers.

    • Extra precautions include:

      • Outer and sanctuary doors propped open to reduce contact /increase air circulation

      • Side door available for direct access in/out of sanctuary (bypassing lobby)

      • Ceiling fans on for circulation and air flow  

      • Outer pew sections available for careful observation of physical distancing recommendations (every other pew taped off in these sections only)

      • No-contact, individually- packaged communion elements

      • No-contact offering box (also electronic giving option)

      • Socializing encouraged in the parking lot rather than the lobby

  • Adult and youth groups of 100 people or fewer may choose to gather in person or continue meeting via Zoom.
     
  • Adult, youth, and children’s groups may continue to gather in person in homes or at the church. To gather at the church, please coordinate in advance with the office at office@whcma.org.

Safe Interaction Protocols

 

  • avoid physical contact - remain 6 feet apart
  • wear a mask to help protect the vulnerable
  • wash hands (or use hand sanitizer) often
  • stay home if you are sick or feel sick
  • avoid congregating in groups larger than current recommendation
  • surfaces will be sanitized after each gathering

Please note: These protocols are recommended and will be encouraged, but we will not police one another.
